Smt. Nisha M Mohan VU2NIS is the XYL of VU2UWZ OM Madhu working as Post Graduate Teacher (Physics) in Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2, Uppal, Hyderabad. 2 children - Manu M Pillai (studying in class 7) and Manish M Pillai (studying in class 5).
She started her hobby in Ham Radio in 1985.
In 1986 Ministry of Communication, Govt. of India issued her the Ham Radio licence with call sign VU2NIS and since, then she is a very active ham radio operator.
She had the opportunity to attend the INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION OF AMATEUR RADIO OPERATORS Organized by NIAR, Hyderabad, held at Kadmat, Lakshadweep Island from 15 to 17 in Jan 2007. She contacted 733 stations frrm all over the world from there. During the convention, she was awarded Hamfest (VU4) INDIA 2006 Award in recognition to excellent performance in establishing two way radio contacts with ham radio stations from Andaman Islands.

- Attended the “INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION OF AMATEUR RADIO OPERATORS” Organized by NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF AMATEUR RADIO, (NIAR), Hyderabad, (http://www.niar.org ) held at Kadmat, Lakshadweep Island from 15-17 Jan 2007.
